Hilarious. Exciting. Perfect night, really. Had a really Very Good hang with kiddo and it was just a top tier experience for us both that goes straight into the formative memories/win box. Strong recommend. Lovely theatre aswell. Today was a good day. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™Œ

As we go into yet another day, I am bouyed by the thought that once humanity is finally destroyed by our own hand, the Earth will recover. Within 100 years most modern buildings, houses, and roads will collapse or be completely overgrown by plants and trees, and by 1,000 years steel and concrete structures will have crumbled into dust. Almost all physical evidence of human civilization on the surface will be erased within 10,000 years, leaving behind only buried plastics, altered rock layers, an...

Good morning, party people. You know what day it is? That's right! The first day of a new week. Glistening with hope and promise. Tumescent with opportunity. This got weird super fast, sorry. Basically... every good thing that ever happened in your life happened in a week that started with a Monday. So let's embrace it. Let's welcome Monday into our hearts. Let's hold it as though we might a dear old friend. And then veeery slowly let us move towards the edge of the balcony and s...

I like witches. I would also like to live deliciously. I also quite fancy dancing naked around a big fire with my mates. Not sure I could eat a whole baby though. However I do love old artwork around Halloween (or as it was originally known; All Hail Owen) and was just idly searching for ghouls and witches and whatnot and came across this article which I quite enjoyed. The title word is a bit emotive, but I quite like they're claiming it here so think it's probably OK. Hags and Slags?...

Wedding done. I looked terrific. Caught up with a lot of old friends (AND enemies). Wedding was great. Food was great. I made friends with one of the women working, so she kept stealing wine from other tables and giving it to me, so I drank a lot of wine. Just to be polite, of course. As an entirely separate coincidence I therefore started the dancefloor going and had to be pried away around midnight with the promise of something bready. Not saying I danced a lot but I apparently did twenty thou...

So. I had to really genuinely force myself out tonight. I had phantom pains all over my body and was exhausted and just not in a great place. Ended up smashing it, as per. Very long story short I ran 10k tonight and have very much exorcised and exercised those smelly old demons. FUCK YOU, DEMONS. Stupid demons. But they are firmly back under lock and key, and my mind palace is veritably gleaming. You could eat your dinner off that. Here. Have some of my mind spaghetti. Absolutely safe. My mind f...

Another Scalzi quote I'm enjoying... People like churros. Are you happy? Have a churro. Depressed? Have a churro. About to go to prison for embezzlement? Have a churro before you go. Just got out of prison? Churro time.

Got my contact lenses in the wrong eyes this morning and had to spend ages trying to get them out to swap them over. Left house 5 minutes late and missed the bus. Despite this I'm feeling very chipper this morning. A nice looking lady just leaned out of her car window, waved and shouted 'morning Ben!'. Absolutely no idea who that nice person is but have a great day, random stranger! I've got a very straightforward morning I don't have to think about and then have booked mysel...

Friends! Roadmen! CountryBen! Lend me your ears. I DID A RUN! For some reason I cannot tell you, I was in a pretty good mood this evening. For the first time ever I felt good GOING IN to the run. To the extent I noticed that not everyone turns up at the beginning brimming with optimism. It looks like I might not be totally alone in struggling to get out the door on a Tuesday night. But it was PACKED tonight. Absolutely loads of people. Maybe 50 or 60 runners. Bunch of old folk in lycra running...

What a funny day. Some lows. Some highs. Some punching through the darkness to find the light. Some difficult emotions. Continuing for various reasons. And then..... 6 dogs and some joy. The lovely young gays descended upon us. And then an avalanche of joy. New life from an unexpected source. There is to be a new baby in the family. How absolutely marvellous. I quite like being (Star Trek) The Next Generation. I appear to be entering my grandpa phase. And I do not hate it. There was a lot about...

Good morning. Ti's Sunday early and I cannot sleep. Two things.... 1)my friend gave his young kiddo my telephone number yesterday for emergencies and she has apparently decided to text me a string of nonsense and I love it. And b)today we move my 19 year old to her new flat for university. First time she's lived away. It's going to be a joyous but emotionally testing day. Fortunately my lovely brother in law and my giant nephew will be around to help. And I'm then going to take h...

If I were a ticket inspector I would simply just not worry about people who didn't have tickets. Don't worry about it m8. Civilisation is a thin veneer and society is a construct. Money isn't real. You're spinning a thousand miles an hour on a rock hurtling through an infinite void. Time is an illusion. Now kiss me and let us run away from all of this. To SPAIN!

I don't wish to be unkind, but it really is a damning indictment of alttext when you post a silly picture of a Christopher Walken doll, write in the alttext that it's a silly Christopher Walken doll, and then just absolutely loads of people respond to say it looks a bit like a Christopher Walken doll.

I don't want to get controversial on the Internet but I really don't think it should be allowed in World's Biggest Sandwich or whatever to include just really really long ones. That is not big that is long. I want to see a sandwich the size and shape of a house, not just some normal sized sandwiches end to end. We don't say spaghetti is the biggest lasagne SORT IT OUT, PEOPLE
