I recently made the realization that meltcat slime (meltcat body in melted state) might not be a distinct substance from meltcat milk or meltcat "cum" (their reproduction works different anyway) That means they just feed each other with basically their own liquified meat, technically an exotic form of cannibalism. (They probably need to have evolved strong natural defenses against prion disease.) Their reproduction works by mixing together multiple meltcats' slimes. Can be two me...

Tomorrow there's a national soccer game about 1.5 kilometers from my home. Germany is playing against Greece in the Nations League. I only know because I walked past the bus stop on my way to the pharmacy and bakery, and the electronic departure board showed a marquee about how to get to that game on public transport: with the special service tram line 8, however that number is barely used towards passengers and it's usually called the "arena line" or indicated with a ⚽ symbol...

My proposal for a species transition terminology: SRT = Species Replacement Therapy (probably some kind of extensive live gene modification treatment)

Youtube lately seems to be tightening the thumbscrews on people trying to avoid paying for premium on Android. Newpipe gets a steadily increasing rate of HTTP 403 errors, and the mobile website constantly tries to pause the video if played in the background, and succeeds about once per minute despite the use of a dedicated Firefox extension (without the extension it triggers pretty much immediately). Fuck crapitalism.

Yesterday I went to a hair removal studio which have both the equipment for laser and electrolysis, for a consultation, and the worker (not sure if owner or employee) recommended me electrolysis instead of laser, she claimed laser is not very reliable at permanency and might have hair come back even stronger after as little as six months. Is this true or is she just trying to upsell me for profit? I do have the budget for the electrolysis, I prioritize the treatment with the most permanent effe...

For like the past eight years, "suicidal" has been my baseline. If you were to offer me a lethal poison pill, I would always be "hell yeah thank you" and the only difference between days would be whether I'd instantly swallow it, or save it for until I have done a little celebration of it being the last day of having to endure this life in a body of the wrong gender and species on a world full of evil, greedy and hateful people who are in power over me and everyone else.

Quoting: https://caneandable.social/@WeirdWriter/117303391332847653 CC @WeirdWriter@caneandable.social Today, by reading that thread, I learned that a (accessibility compliant) website has BETTER usability for screenreader users than for sighted users, because the screenreader exposes *more* semantic information and navigation options to the user than the browser does in sighted-user mode. For example showing a list of headings and jumping to them instantly, without having to manually scro...

If we're already going to keep copyright, there really should be a legally protected right to create derivative works so that independent artists and creators aren't forced to always start from zero. Let people legally make their own Pokémon romhacks.

I had hoped that the AI training data issues would lead to an abolition of the bullshit system of copyright, but I fear it will only entrench the status quo of copyright protecting big corporations, but not burdening them, and burdening independent artists and individual consumers, but not protecting them. I yearn for a world where access to art, code and other creative output is free and unrestricted and people can freely build upon other people's work, and creators aren't dependent on...

Regarding the whole bullshit concept of felony disenfranchisement: Here in Germany, almost* all prisoners are allowed to vote if they meet the general eligibility criteria (adult, German citizen). They will then vote by mail. And nobody even considers to restrict their voting rights after they completed their sentence. * = there's a very small number of crimes that can temporarily remove voting rights, that's election manipulation, treason and taking bribes. Not even for those crimes i...

median system stuff: all of us sound and look pretty much the same in headspace, and figuring out who is responsible for a certain thought is a O(n) procedure of asking every headmate "was that you?" All 32 of us are comfortable with a female furry anthro meltcat form, and it's also the preferred form of all but two, with Tigra being a furry anthro cat femboy and Leona seeing herself more human-like (but still cat eared), but even then both would be just fine with a furry catgirl...

I feel like my gender is partially nonbinary honestly. I do very much want a fully feminine body, but I don't think I have a particularly feminine personality. (This varies between headmates though, Kassiopeia seems quite feminine for example) If I was born in an AFAB body I would likely be a tomboy or maybe even fully non-binary. But with my current, quite masculine body, the desire to be more (physically) feminine is strong and influences my gender. It's all further complicat...

(Cisspecies) Meltcat labor is probably pretty fucking cheap compared to humans. They can "breed" at ridiculous rates because they can just split off parts of their body. Feed a meltcat until it's big, then split it into multiple smaller ones. Rinse and repeat. With sufficient food you could probably multiply a human-sized meltcat by 100x in like a week. Meanwhile a new human takes a whole nine months and occupies a whole other human during that time. But that newborn...

How would I phrase my species transition genie wish? "I wish that everyone who would be any happier in a meltcat body than in their current body as it is, were transformed into a meltcat" advantages: - nobody would be (more than right now) dysphoric after the transformation - lots of meltcats on Earth afterwards, not just me

My fursona is just my ideal IRL form. I've always wanted to be a meltcat, even before fully realizing the details of meltcats or giving the species that name. (In fact, Dragofelis was originally the species name when I made that Twitter handle, but is now my fursona's lastname and my legal middlename) As a teen I couldn't decide on a shape for my species. They were definitely cat-like, but do they have wings? Fins and gills? For a while I had a "kitchen sink, al...

Apple could make a lot of money by selling MacOS for generic x86-64 PCs. That would definitely be a popular product. Though it seems like they prefer to sell a small number of overpriced hardware instead of a large number of software licenses for use on more reasonably priced hardware.
