Regarding the whole bullshit concept of felony disenfranchisement:
Here in Germany, almost* all prisoners are allowed to vote if they meet the general eligibility criteria (adult, German citizen). They will then vote by mail. And nobody even considers to restrict their voting rights after they completed their sentence.
* = there's a very small number of crimes that can temporarily remove voting rights, that's election manipulation, treason and taking bribes. Not even for those crimes it's automatic, as far as I know.
