has anyone made a list of LGBTQ+ -led open-source projects yet? i plan on trying linux in (hopefully) a few years with an MNT reform next running elementaryOS (both made/led by genderqueer folks), so i might as well stock up on some apps to try out when i get there not really looking for anything in particular. if there is a list, i'll look through and see what catches my eye. i'm not a gamer or a coder. what i was most curious about is a photo editor, a video editor, and a digital audi...

article from 2016, but the main point of it still stands: "…but they do good work!" is not an excuse to keep supporting an artist that has turned out to be a piece of shit. same with anything that artist has made https://medium.com/@violetblue/but-he-does-good-work-6710df9d9029

as i'm sure some of you might've suspected, the upcoming V/H/S: SCP film does not involve the SCP wiki in any way and apparently it's not gonna be on shudder but will be produced by a24, who just a couple months ago, had some automated false copyright claims go out to backrooms media from before the movie came out, making it seem like they were trying to claim the concept of the backrooms corporations do not belong in creative spaces https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/statement-on-vhs-f...

today i dreamt i made a show about… well i actually don’t know exactly what it was about. it had science fiction (i think it took place in space), drama, a change in main character in the second season finale, and pretty unorthodox closing logos it had a pretty big following among online circles

surprisingly quick follow-up to a thread i made with the same CW last night at lost lands (big dino-themed dubstep festival), someone brought a table to the pit and stapled their lip to it. they somehow got out, put someone else on the table, and bodyslammed them. the first individual joined in, no doubt while they were still bleeding if this festival was any bigger, this would be a news story waiting to happen. the media would latch onto this like vultures and rip the scene apart because of a...

watching a video on bad wii games and the maker mentioned the alvin and the chipmunks CGI film series and it got me thinking about how the 2000s and 2010s were kinda dire for family movies obviously they're worse now what with all the recycled live-action adaptations but those feel like evolved forms of all the "talking animal" films from earlier in the millenium. you know the ones, the ones that were pretty much made on a conveyor belt with all the toilet humor and poorly aged jo...
