surprisingly quick follow-up to a thread i made with the same CW
last night at lost lands (big dino-themed dubstep festival), someone brought a table to the pit and stapled their lip to it. they somehow got out, put someone else on the table, and bodyslammed them. the first individual joined in, no doubt while they were still bleeding
if this festival was any bigger, this would be a news story waiting to happen. the media would latch onto this like vultures and rip the scene apart because of an extreme minority of folks who have That Special Flavor™ of main character syndrome
at least the artist who was playing put out a statement discouraging folks from doing stuff like this, but at the same time, i want him to kinda just stop doing sets for a while. just to give his fans some time to reflect
as i've said before, you have a responsibility as an artist to let your fans know that you are not to be fucked with. safety is not a joke. these are lives that are on the line right now. this recklessness has to stop
that is not me being "soft" or a "pussy," as some folks would probably say. that is a fucking fact

it should not be considered radical to take care of your fellow attendees it especially should not be considered radical to take care of yourself
