  Just learned that the A in American arms stands for Alteration (M stands for Model) and E stands for Engineering=Prototype. Meanwhile Russian weapon names are always unique and humourous, like Tulip, Hurricane, Buratino (=Russian Pinocchio), Smile, Housefly, Hello, Gnome, etc.

Besides, the Russians had no interest in retreating from the Izyum supply route, especially if it now threatens their Sloviansk flank. As for casualties we can only speculate, but this "retreating = inflicting casualties on the enemy" thinking is a bad cope, and in my observation more untrue than not.

  @Sovereign@nicecrew.digital Dima says the Russians rotated troops from Izyum to Dobropolye, probably because the terrain was difficult and the advances too slow. If so it was a strategic mistake, because Izyum is the main supply artery, and they made the same mistake the Ukies usually do, favouring PR victories for the election over strategically correct choices. One more needless strategic blunder by the Russian General Staff, which still hasn't been sufficiently reshuffled since the star...

  Just had a dream that I was in uni class, the lights were out and the projector was on, and we were watching a parody about Hitler, but it had excerpts of real speeches dispersed throughout. And in one of those 'real' excerpts (not an actual historical speech btw) he said that Germany was the new Roman Empire, and just like the Roman Empire it was rallying all the Aryans to fight together. I grabbed my temples and tears were uncontrollably running down my face, trying to not make a sound...
