Lets get real. For starters, anything 'disposable' should be illegal. And the marketing of disposability as a 'feature' should be a crime punishable by death. Because that's what the flesh dripping ghouls profiting on deliberately-designed waste are doing to humanity. Burn them. Hang them. Tar and feather them. An example has to be made. Before they make one of us, the first species to knowingly hasten its own extinction. #environment #climate #climatechange #science

    @f800gecko@mastodon.online I share the sentiment, but I also think it's more complex. There are lots of things that make sense to be single-use, because the resource cost of cleaning them for reuse is comparable to the resource cost of producing them, before you even consider the added resource requirements to make something that can withstand many (or even a single) cycle of cleaning. This is particularly the case for a lot of health care/personal care items. What's important is that these things be sourced from renewable materials and externalities of manufacture be minimized.
