Most of the people used to connect to the internet over the telephone landlines in the 90s.

We have recreated the actual thing in our lab to celebrate the technology that connected millions.

The devices that leveraged the copper wires to send data were called modulators-demodulators or modems in short.

During the initial connection, modems on the both sides probe each other's capabilities by beeping and buzzing audibly.

This is known by the name of a "dialup sound" and here it is:
