#3GoodThings 1. cup of coffee so good. how is it so yum. 2. my guided meditation is extremely helpful. when making these recordings a very useful feature is to include the idea of returning to that meditation with a regular frequency or under a specific condition. it seems to make it a lot easier to think "ooh yes, time for that" rather than requiring the thought to originate just from reasoning or the desire for it. 3. sunlight through the pohutukawa. ๐ค

#3GoodThings before I explode an interesting new work opportunity reached me today. I am leaning in. full tilt. buying new trousers and they fit my unusually proportioned body precisely is a miracle of coincidence for me, underpinned, I have no choice but to assume, by a serious manufacturing issue the vendor need urgently address. there is a perfect Spring afternoon outside that I need to get involved with.

developing the abdominal muscles for size rather than capability I find to be such a difference. even one set of situps to failure and the next day my vagus nerve is canked, which always sucks. for me, the core muscle seem to be best trained by twisting movements, fluid movements like kettlebell swings, and isometric holds. and they're very forgiving even if I do a lot. whereas the contraction-to-failure situps for muscle growth approach requires way more restraint. one set, near to failu...

today I learned there is an odd fellow whose name is edward sheeran who openly ensorses the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people and who uses his financial leverage to try to silence those who oppose his agenda. the news media finds it IMPERATIVE to tell me today, above all the other information that it is their sole function to make public, that the odd genocider feels 'heartbroken' that nobody likes him. if you work in news media do not try to make genociders sympathetic. you wi...

#3GoodThings 1. the new train network opened today. it is very good, it was jam packed from popular use, and it was very nice to use. 2. I did a task I'd been putting off, even though I was very sore and slumpish from Friday's exercise session. 3. Ukraine wins.

#3GoodThings 1. tomorrow I go up the maunga ๐ค๐ค 2. tomorrow I will pursue a new business avenue I am extremely excited about 3. tonight I am going to make another one of the very nice Azteca hot chcolates I drank the other night. (I inhaled the ultrafine powder off the broad rim of my cool handcarved wooden cup directly into my lungs last time, which sting like a maddafakka but did not give me the pneumonia, so that worked out all right although I am basically Mr Bean)

#3GoodThings 1. drawing was mediocre tonight but at least socially it was good for me to see the gang 2. pizza 3. I spent my pizza calories on an overdue heavy duty leg day session, it was resplendent 4. I learned some people's stories about Trauma Recovery Exercise, it is fascinating! I tried some of the exercises. the big epiphany for me is the trembling that happens in some positions is not weakness, it is apparently good for the nervous system, and can even feel good if I let it happen.

New Zealand's conservative government playbook: 1. declare war on crime 2. persecute mentally ill people 3. support police sexual assault 4. get unemployment up to a decades long high 5. persecute trans people 6. declare mental health crisis 7. release AI mental healthcare programme 8. embrace open racism in parliament 9. scramble to extend government terms from 3 years to 4 who elected these targets? seriously, what are the names of the people who elected them?

first they came for our jobs, and the regulators said nothing because they don't do their job. then they came for our water, and the regulators said nothing because they don't hold any water. then they came for our laws, and the regulators said nothing because they are above the law. then they came for the regulators, and there was no one left to speak up because the regulators would rather die than regulate.

today I watched a movie called The Odyssey. it was impossible to like or care about any of the characters other than the cheesemaker. co-authors Homer and Chrispher Nolan lack creative ambition and any sense of justice or adventure. I suppose the film makers wanted quantity over quality, which they achieved. the hollywood A-listers improvised solid LARP performances. they all gave a good effort, particularly with their ozempic schedules. I can't unsee it myself but if you can avoid it, do.

it's funny and kind of sad seeing an ad for pizza because a more redundant message does not exist in this world and yet some dummy actually paid to show it to me. I already want pizza to the fullest extent humanly possible, advertiser. relax yourself.

if you know me at all you know how much I hate corporate owned social media and the insane, senseless, large-scale harm it does to individuals and democracies. I wrote this article for users of it, to offer them an actionable perspective they can use to eliminate risk of heart disease and depression. if there are any facebook, instagram, or tiktok users in your life, this link is shareable. (and I am fully braced for the backlash.) https://mostcapablebody.com/post/How-Social-Media-Has-You-I...

#3GoodThings 1. puppycat is maturing. he is now very well behaved and doesnt often get into his manic state. he is just a happy little catdog. 2. this rate of muscle growth is insane and I did not know it was possible for a 42 year old chap. if I had known and been doing what I am currently doing when I was 20 I could have entered a competition. I can't get over it! 3. art tomorrow. I had better things to do last week but I need to exercise some discipline and go out to my social group.
