There's a type of reply-guy that crawls out of the woodwork when I post anything that might inspire others to take action, and they're deceptively insidious. Regardless of the topic, they sound like this: Alice: I don't own a gun because they're for killing and I'm not a fan of killing. Bob: Then only the bad guys will have guns. Alice: I deleted my Facebook account. Bob: If the good people leave then the bad guys win. Alice: I'm openly queer so others know they'r...

I just saw "The Oldest Profession", and I highly fucking recommend it. Kaytlin is funny, her show is powerful, and it's packed full of stuff everyone should know about sexwork. We even got to chat briefly afterwards about @AltAfterDark@masto.thefword.club and sexwork on social platforms. I'm planning to binge her podcast starting tomorrow. https://oldprosonline.org/ #SexWorkIsWork

I just went on a follow-fest for women with a PhD, but realized I'm already mutuals with almost everyone who shows up in the limited search results 😋 If you're a Dr. Gal or other female science communicator type, pop into the thread, say hi! I'd love to learn about what you do 💜 (and I'm sure lots of others would too) #WomenInStem #FollowFriday (on Tuesday) #WomenInMedicine #Dr #PhD

Gimme your best pickup lines. 🚩 answers only. I'll start. "I named my legs Master lock, because if you pick me they'll open right up." "What's better than Smoke on the Water? Come on Eileen."¹ ¹ a guy at a bar actually used his one on a friend of mine after overhearing her name

I love that there's so much tongue-in-cheek headcanon about me on Fedi. Maybe I'll be on a MatPat video someday 😋

@xale@tech.lgbt for a lock called Master, they sure exhibit some subby behaviors.

After reading @veronica@explains.social's post about LLM misinfo, I tried anonymously asking LLMs "Who is Alice on Mastodon?" to see if I've escaped containment. (I try to be a ghost outside of Fedi by regularly searching for myself and submitting takedown requests or misinformation for any results I find, but these LLMs are something different—you can't just change the info, or ask for it to be removed like with data brokers or normal search results) ChatGPT cited https...

I've made a number of posts about flirting, and I often get replies/DMs from guys that ask "how do I flirt with women in a non-creepy way". I've written a good bit about all the DOs and DON'Ts of approaching women, but I left at least one thing out, and I don't know how it took this long for me to write a post about it 😅 TATTOOS. If you like queer/alt/badass women (and I mean who doesn't?), then I have four words for you... "I love your ink." Then you...

#AskFedi #Security: Looking for good smartlock recommendations for a house in the US, in a neighborhood where forced entry isn't too much of a concern. This is the third and final¹ session of the Fedi covers me in hearts project. I tried to cover everyone's wishes as well as possible within the theme, and I think Vegas and I came as close as we could (minus the two requests for hearts on my leg and neck, but those might be in the near future anyway 😉). If my count is correct, there are 106 + 89 + 6, for a total of 201 hearts, representing 24 hours straight on the table. Thank you *so* much to everyone who helped turn my body into living a...
