@fak@cupoftea.social well. In many countries (I.e. NL, DE) a working bell being installed on the bike, is a legal requirement. In the UK, bike bell must be fitted when sold, but there's no legal requirement that it stays fitted. The loud freehubs are just antisocial arseholes

@quixoticgeek@social.v.st good to know that my sarcasm was not misplaced. I have been known to shout 'ding' when my bell has been faulty/out of reach. It never occurred to me to fit parts likely to give me tinnitus or sound like I'm dragging a bag of gravel behind me as an alternative.
