@quixoticgeek@social.v.st good to know that my sarcasm was not misplaced. I have been known to shout 'ding' when my bell has been faulty/out of reach. It never occurred to me to fit parts likely to give me tinnitus or sound like I'm dragging a bag of gravel behind me as an alternative.

@fak@cupoftea.social I think the "it's so pedestrians can hear me" thing is a retroactive justification to try and make them feel better about the idea...
