@jwz@mastodon.social I wish I had something specific to offer, but the best I've got is that there were a bunch of code-signing changes specific to screen savers in macOS 26; does this have an ad-hoc signature or a proper public developer ID one?

@jwz@mastodon.social Bad cache entries?: $ getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR $ ls /com.apple.wallpaper.extension.legacy/com.apple.wallpaper.legacy.thumbnails/ I must say that I abandoned running .savers on 27. I get about one run out of the legacyScreenSaver process before it locks up and/or starts eating CPU. Reboot after that is the only way to get it “working” again. Also, options panels not opening, etc. It’s basically broken as far as I can tell, at least in my setup. Worked in 26.

Somehow the "Afterglow" .saver manages to have thumbnails too, but I can't tell what they're doing differently...
