@jwz@mastodon.social Bad cache entries?:
$ getconf DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR
$ ls /com.apple.wallpaper.extension.legacy/com.apple.wallpaper.legacy.thumbnails/
I must say that I abandoned running .savers on 27. I get about one run out of the legacyScreenSaver process before it locks up and/or starts eating CPU. Reboot after that is the only way to get it “working” again. Also, options panels not opening, etc. It’s basically broken as far as I can tell, at least in my setup. Worked in 26.

@HalfCap@mastodon.social Nope. After nuking those files, System Settings repopulates them with the generic "swirly" images. I also tried wiping ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iconservices.store and /Library/Caches/com.apple.iconservices.store and killing iconservicesd.
