Interesting story. I doubt that the procurement of a fake/forged certificate was illegal. But if that fake/forged certificate was then used to travel internationally - well that could easily be breaching conditions of entry, which could have very serious consequences (though unlikely, because footballer). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3qjkpgengn7o
