To be clear, I think it was unfair that the prevailing media narrative about Joe essentially became Republican talking points about his cognitive decline, but the fact that he stepped aside anyway showed his commitment to his country over his ego, and brilliantly allowed all of the stupid "senile old man" rhetoric to be immediately flipped onto Trump, who was always the incoherent one, going back decades. You love to see it.

@theropologist@beige.party It's strange to me that more isn't being made of this. IIRC, Trump is older now than Biden was when Biden ran for president. So if elected, Trump would be older at the end of his term than Biden is now. And yet niw we are seeing some republicans call for Biden to step down from being president for the last part of his term because he's too old. If these people are really concerned about a president's age, then Trump should be a non-starter.
