I walked for about an hour from the Vasa museum through the island park of Djurgården to the Thiel Gallery:

I cannot recommend a visit to this gallery too highly. Both architecture and the collection of pictures within come together to impress the visitor with a wealthy and informed couple's taste at the dawn of the modern.
I enjoyed a 3:00 PM coffee and cardamom bun there too!

🧵 8/21 I am particularly interested in the twenties and thirties, so I was delighted to find the Moderna Museet staging both “Brassaï – The Secret Signs of Paris” and "The Subterranean Sky: Surrealism in the Moderna Museet Collection". I shall have more to say about surrealism, as prompted by this exhibition in a future post.
