@redcrew@mstdn.social Not to mention the noise.... raking leaves can be quite zen, quiet too - maybe we all need to be more zen like, ditch some tools. My neighbours gardener does not use power tools, the garden looks tidy (a lot more than mine!) but the only noise I sometimes hear is the hand clipping of hand tools.

@lindasgoluppiart@mastodonapp.uk @redcrew@mstdn.social Raking actually moves the leaves in a pretty efficient manner. Leaf blowers move leaves fast, but to a random spot, from where they have to be immediately moved again. I wonder how many people ”clean” their houses by putting the vacuum in reverse.
