@jessie@mastodon.social One of the most exciting things for me, as an English-only speaker, was to learn that punctuation could go at the beginning of a written sentence, like in Spanish. The context _up front_?! Can you do that? Turns out... Yes. Yes, you can. Language is mutable. Let's just fix it. :D <3

@jessie@mastodon.social the only thing that fucks me up more than the different pronunciations of "permit" is when I meet someone from Southern NJ who pronounces them the same way.
