@Cassandra@ottawa.place Way less now that I know I'm diabetic. If excess glucose in the blood isn't getting processed with insulin, it needs to be scrubbed out by the urinary system. Cutting back on sugars and carbohydrates, especially at dinner, makes for fewer trips overnight.

@Cassandra@ottawa.place if you are a man get your prostate checked. Also Tamsulosin has been a life changer - couldn’t imagine a bigger life changer

@Cassandra@ottawa.place I voted one, but it's probably more accurate to say none + getting up far earlier than I would like most mornings.

  • @Cassandra@ottawa.place I voted 😫 but, in fairness, it's only once or twice nowadays after intervention last year for #ProstateCancer. Gentlemen ... the time to get yourself checked is the first time you think you're getting up too often. It will give you, in the first instance, a baseline for later. Detected earlier is good ... detected too late is problematic.

@Cassandra@ottawa.place If I do have to get up, it's nearly always very early in the morning, rather than in the wee (hah) small hours. Then getting back to sleep can be an issue. In the summer I'll usually don my sleep mask when I get back into bed, to give me the best chance of getting another hour or so of sleep.

@Cassandra@ottawa.place From the results, it looks like Mastodon might be a younger crowd. 62 and (sob) for me.

@Cassandra@ottawa.place Once or not at all, since I got my blood pressure properly medicated 7 years ago. Before, it could be three times.
