I didn't want to get my antidepressant prescription renewal, because it was so hot out, so I wound up missing 2 days worth of pills. I had stuffed myself beyond reason, having taken family out for an all you can eat sushi. And for those of you who haven't had melatonin dreams, they can be incredibly believable, vivid, and/or intense. The dream began relatively normally. I've been playing Subnautica 2, so things started similarly, I was gathering minerals around a crashed spaceship i...

I stopped taking my venlafaxine for two days because I didn't want to go out in the heat to get my prescription. DON'T DO THAT. I feel slightly better now that I've gotten my prescription and had some food, but I still feel incredibly light headed, and like I'm on the verge of dreaming / hallucinating. 😵‍💫 This is like, the opposite of the time I had too many edibles. I can't wait for the drugs to _start_ working.

@dkiesow@social.kiesow.net @nicmagnier@idlethumbs.social I love that the only sensible driver shown was driving the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

@Lunalucardrose20@corteximplant.com It's also the theme song for Beyond Re-Animator! And was one of the first fan made furry oc music videos on the internet! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=S08ydoG5AAM

I don't know how Les Claypool feels, but I'm glad Metallica didn't hire him. Not because it would have been bad, but because Primus and Metallica both existing is a "Holy shit, two cakes!" thing. Anyways, this video is only a few hours old, and pure Primus in the best ways possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RE2oERgJkXg #Primus #PrimusSucks #Metal

The place I used to buy my coffee syrups closed down ages ago, and today I found an alternative based in Kelowna, who not only sell the syrups, but make them as well! https://simpsmb.com/pages/about-us #Canada #Coffee #BC #BuyCanadian #ElbowsUp

@alexisbushnell@toot.wales Last time I ran a game with a minmaxer, I was considering the same options. I decided to do nothing, and let them have their way, since it just shortened their time in the spotlight. From there I put all my focus into making sure everyone else had a good time. This was for a swashbuckling game though, so splitting the party or having 1 on 1 duels allowed for that kind of focus on individuals, I don't know how well it would work for D&D.

It's 1996. None of my hair is grey, and when September comes around, I'll be starting my last year of high school. I'm at a friend's house, it's 1am, but we're wide awake, just talking about whatever, with the TV playing music videos in the background. I look up, and a woman is singing. It sounds a little bit like Hole or Garbage, with crisp drums, and fuzzed out guitar. But the video looks more like Primus doing some sort of Alice In Wonderland thing. I'm captivated,...

Meredith Brookes: "Bitch? Maybe, but I'm other stuff too, because people are MULTIFACETED." Dennis Leary: "Asshole? Damn Straight!" (Proceeds to double down on how and why he's an asshole.) The second one is comedy, but I think too many guys my age took it as lifestyle advice.

@jamie@fedi.jametek.com Right? We're even seeing in real time just next door what can happen when too much power is consolidated in one place. This is some devil's bargain nonsense, and Carney's just the next overly ambitious mortal thinking he's clever enough to pull it off.

@DrorBedrack@mastodon.social @infobeautiful@vis.social @ourworldindata@vis.social I was going to say the same thing. The top 9 bars on the left could all be called "natural causes," or even "old age" if they happen late enough, and add up to over 90%. It's not exactly newsworthy. But then, I think the problem is that the sensationalism leads to people being easily manipulated by bad actors who use the fears of extreme events to drum up support for harmful policies. If an...
