@bodhipaksa@mastodon.scot how do I use descriptive language to enable someone to ‘see’ an image. How do I describe colours, landscapes, animals etc to someone who has never seen them?

@caitrionaGalway@mastodon.green I've only known a few completely blind people, but none have been blind from birth. They know what all those things look like. One piece of advice that really struck me was to try to convey the feeling of an image. Also, a lot of the images people post are images of text, so that's easy to describe. When I'm uploading a text image to Mastodon it even offers to extract the text. It's quite amazing. Sometimes it needs some reformatting and error-correcting, though.
