National Park Service backs Trump's arch, despite its impact on Washington's sightline WASHINGTON – A new National Park Service report backs President Donald Trump’s proposed arch, despite what it says are adverse effects to the sightline between a host of iconic landmarks in Washington, including the Washington Monument and Lincoln and Jefferson memorials. The report released Friday says the 250-foot-tall (76-meter) memorial arch is likely to disrupt the historical significance of dozens of sites near its planned location adjacent to Memorial Bridge.

  • … But the Park Service report says “the same characteristics that make Memorial Circle sensitive from a preservation perspective are also the characteristics that make it the historically appropriate location for the undertaking.” Now, that sounds like a coherent statement, but actually parse the sentence and it’s… bullshit. Huh.

I can see that donnie is focused on the important work for the American people. 🙄 What’s the rush, donnie? If you are so wonderful, you wouldn’t have to build these monuments to yourself, others would gladly do it after you’re gone. If that stupid thing gets built, we need to sell raffle tickets in the next administration to who gets to push the trigger on the demolition.

Now he only needs to win a war to claim a triumph arch. Maybe he should build it in Teheran. He actually won a war for them.

What a fugly dollar store ghetto ass looking arch. I imagine that it looking ridiculous and low rent is a purposeful troll on the American public. He should have some golden statues of naked kids on top of it.
