For all of the focus on building another Trans Mountain pipeline or another Coastal GasLink pipeline across BC, if Canada wanted to service Europe with its "Energy" products, wouldn't it make more sense to build a pipeline to Churchill, MB?
(Note, because we're quickly exiting the age of fossil fuels and have already entered the age of electricity I am not actually advocating this position, but it makes more economic sense than increasing the capacity of pipelines that aren't near their current capacity yet and which already service Asia which itself is rapidly electrifying. Canada's "fossil fuel energy" economy will only be economically viable for, like, 10 or 15 more years, TOPS!)

@evdelen@mstdn.ca The Alberta Tar Sand crude is so heavy that it requires specialized refineries. Europe might not have that capacity. Natural gas is probably a different story.
