It didn’t go haywire. At all. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, which is parrot what the applicant said, after LLM grammar collection, to make sure the bot heard it right. The fact that these bots are bonkers dumb is a fact, but it didn’t “go haywire”. I’m still in utter shock that companies use this shit. Human resources, ffs. Human.

I used to play with Eliza on an Apple II, trying to get it to say weird stuff. Seems like things haven't changed all that much.
