@dylanwolters@floss.social yeah, I personally think that this is one of the most insidious effects of LLMs: Before code (and text) were a de-facto proof of thinking about a topic, while today that link has been effectively severed if not kept at bay.

@gedankenstuecke@scholar.social @dylanwolters@floss.social yeah, that's one of the most frustrating changes to the FOSS ecosystem lately, there can be well-written repositories that historically would've been fairly trustworthy, but now they often feature code that is entirely untested, and promise features that aren't even present in the code at all!
