No, I disagree on all counts.
* I didn't call it a crusade.
* I don't think X11 is dead at all. I know many RH folk think it is and want it to be, but I think they're wrong, and their alternatives do not appeal to me.
* I am indifferent to Wayland. It does nothing I really want. I don't like any desktop that uses it. The stuff its developers promote are invisible to me.
* Wayland has one (1) feature I'd like: different DPI values on different screens. X11 can do that -- it's just Xinerama that can't.
I don't want it badly enough to run any Wayland desktop, though.
That is the _only_ feature that interests me, and if Xlibre ever can do it, then Wayland has no remaining appeal.
* I don't really care about the politics of the people behind these projects, TBH. I myself am neither left nor right aligned, although most of my friends tend to be lefty types. (I am more of a radical Green, and I don't agree with the Greens about a tonne of stuff, too.)

@lproven to your points: 1. What? You literally called it a crusade in the headline. 2. Thoughts are free. Here are facts from a longtime X11 and Wayland dev: https://people.freedesktop.org/~daniels/lca2013-wayland-x11.pdf 3. Fair. Security is oftentimes invisible, though the lack of it may not be. Not caring about politics is a slippery slope. You may be in a position privileged enough to do so and ignore others who aren't. Not throwing a stone, I myself ignore a lot of things wrong in the world. @theregister
