Yes, calm down little server, I know - it's hot.

Today was 50% grinding through IEC 62443- 4-1 with a colleague and 50% alone time doing shell script development. No stupid meetings as most people are on vacation. Not bad. I've always maintained I'm not a dev but I have to say I lately quite enjoy this type of focused problem solving.

Instant favorite! Almost didn't buy it because of the pale ale reference; guess that's a sign of the IPA craze. Anyway, wonderfully fruity; little bit of hoppy zing. Dark gold color, decent head. Beer from the coast - nice! 👍 TGIF y'all! #tootyourbrew

These are fir needles on a tarp. In the current drought perfectly healthy (so far at least!) fir trees are shedding needles which rain down on you with every wind gust through the tree tops. Some amount of this is normal in summer but this year the volume is astounding. We could really really use some rain. Actually, make that a LOT. #smallholding

Ah yes, it's sysadmin appreciation day. Two of my team are on vacation, one has fscked off and gone kayaking, and since nobody brought us cookies I bought my own and am having a lunch break. 👍 #sysadminday

Had my company car in for service today and got a chance for a test drive in this. It's a BYD Sealion coupé-SUV. Holy smokes. Even the low end-version (which this is) already comes with 200kW/320HP, 450km range, and some really nice extras and doodads. Pretty damn impressive, especially considering the price.

Leave it to the MBAs to fsck up a perfectly good company. 😬

As expected, the guys who invested a few million tokens for a handful of Linux and BSD vulnerabilities have retrained their guns onto more juicy targets - the festering pile of 30 years of decomposing software layers oozing out of Redmond. "This patch Tuesday includes a staggering 622 vulnerabilities, not including another 427 vulnerabilities in Chromium, affecting microsoft's Edge browser. 62 of the vulnerabilities are rated critical." https://isc.sans.edu/diary/33154

Belgium playing tonight at 2am, which means there will probably be assholes driving their cars around and honking by 4am. Either Belgians because they won, Dutch because they can get even, or random drunken idiots because it's what they do. I hate being woken up by fascism in the middle of the night. #fuckfifa #fucktrump #everythingispolitical

Someone asked recently if you could tie tomatoes to sticks for support. The answer is yes, you can. Depending on your plants you're going to need a lot of them though, and long ones at that. And you will be adding a lot of wire bits as they continue to grow. I've been doing this for years. When the plants die off in winter I pull the sticks and store them for next year. The wire bits go into a large plastic bowl, also to be reused. Wire cages are probably less work. #gardening @gardeni...

Last vacation day today. It's 🥵 so the forest was the best place to be. Behold the flying tent, for drying wood and storing tractor implements. Field shelters are expensive. Nice there's a good supply of tent poles here. 😂 #smallholding

The damn slugs ate all four of my small cucumber plants in a single night. Gloves are coming off. Whatever happens from now on is on them. 👹 #gardening

I dunno. I planted raddish into this raised bed. They are starting to come up (the small green dots everywhere) but have been overtaken by a mass of weird grayish mushrooms. After two days of warm humid weather with a lot rain nature is literally exploding and so are the damn slugs crawling everywhere. #gardening

@lproven personally I disagree with calling it a crusade on RH's part. Being a corpo they invest their money where they see fit. X11 is a dead corpse in the ditch, their own developers say as much. So between reanimating old tech or investing into new that's what they picked. Wayland can run in the BSDs. GhostBSD made a decision to get in bed with rightwing nutcases for the comfort of staying with X11. If you support them you support their choice. That's politics for you. @theregi...
