@foone maybe this is close: JDH on YouTube has a few projects that involve some interesting dithering shader work. The project in this video targets like 256 colors though https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcjKWbjZi-Y&pp=0gcJCSsMAYcqIYzv

Ok chat I think I've just re-invented RSS: I have a lot of friends who have a lot of websites and they all update their websites, but I don't have a good way of getting a notification and then aggregating those notifications about those friends' websites / blogs updates. Is this what RSS is for?

@ThePSF@fosstodon.org this is very interesting to me. As someone who maintains OSS Python projects, and who uses Python at work, I'm interested in figuring out if I can make my usage of PyPI more efficient. I appreciate the How You Can Help piece, because yes, I think we could cache packages very easily. We pin all our dependencies so we don't need to pull very often.

@AmyZenunim Nooo Don't listen to the purists! Cast iron is super easy to care for. Scrub it without soap and oil it occasionally. If it gets rusty you can buff off the rust and re-season.

Why the fuck can't I just download the source code for the blast demo? Why do I have to download a zip and then run a batch script?

Hey chat, does anybody have that blog post from that person like a year ago where they explained how Linux and it works using a very simple Go program? It was really, really good and I thought that I bookmarked it but I can't find it.

Nice to see that Lenovo seems to be recovering from whatever Schizophrenic delusion they were suffering from in the early 2020s. https://www.ifixit.com/News/115827/new-thinkpads-score-perfect-10-repairability
