Deepseek-V4-Flash-0731 says "Actually" a lot. And I mean A LOT.

@mhoye I remembered your non-stick pan question from the other day while I was frying an egg for breakfast 🍳 I live with pan destroyers so tend to go for budget options and not high end stuff. We got the IKEA non stick pans and they are very nice. Stainless steel with a ceramic coating. Good weight, good heat transfer afaict. Ceramic non stick works well and cleans easily. After some abuse here I don't see any scratches or chips. Also induction here. https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/ik...

Is creating a #Debian package repository on github pages a good idea? I have deb files attached to a Release in my GitHub project but I want people to be able to apt install them the easy way. What is the easy way? Do I really have to make people copy/paste shell commands to setup a link to my repo? Deal with GPG? Why is this not simpler?

RE: https://mastodon.online/@9to5Mac/117056777662472211 I guess my "passing notes like we're in high school" process wasn't so crazy after all.

I let Kimi K3 do a security review of my code and it found some interesting things. I gave those to Fable to fix which immediately flagged it and refused to work on it and switched me back to Opus 4.8 This is all so dumb ... #kimi #fable #claude

Final hack for today: you can now telnet into an Apple 1 6502/4KB/BASIC telnet 95.179.138.57 6502 You will end up in the "Woz Monitor" that Steve Wozniak wrote 50 years ago. Running E000R will drop you into AppleSoft Basic. Give it a try. Everyone gets a new instance. https://github.com/st3fan/ewm #apple1 #ewm

@slightlyoff Final thought from me .. I think the web ecosystem is equally corrupted as the native app ecosystem by tracking companies. It is incredibly persistent on both sides. I also think both browser and device makers had no idea, or intention, about what they were getting into or knew how these ecosystems would evolve the past decades. Ultimately they should co-exist together. I think it is pointless to talk about native vs web as if there needs to be a winner. Neither is going anywhere.

There was a need for a Minecraft server last night so I did a speed run and somehow decided to boot up a Oracle Linux VM to get that going. (The Oracle Cloud free tier is great! You get 4 ARM64 Ampere CPUs + 24GB RAM + 200GB disk that you can mix in any combination) But now I have an RPM based VM which is like completely weird for me after decades of Debian / Ubuntu. Everything it outdated and defaults like `htop` are not present. Such a different world. Worth learning?
