  Ah, disappointed to learn that KDE is also going the path of hamburger menus vs actual menu bars, so anything kirigami does not export an actual global menu. Kirigami apps have the same "mobile inspired" desktop approach that I think sucks on desktop and is the GNOME approach, and increasingly the macOS approach as well. #linux #kde #kirigami

  Just read Byung-Chul Han’s The Burnout Society. It’s sixteen years old, but I think it’s a great description of the last couple of decades. I wonder now how this “achievement” focused society is changing. Because of AI, this concept of can is even more ridiculous. So many people are rushing to do more because they can, but it’s pretty meaningless. The forces that push for this achievement culture are very clearly a joke.
