@kupac @codefloe @radicle @Codeberg In no post of mine I've criticized the decision. My point is about the aggressive and snarky behavior against those who have a different opinion. That isn't sovereign to me - but there might also be other words that would fit better here. If you vote about such a sensitive topic (in today's world), it's best to quiet and happily go on with what you're aiming for. This btw applies to both sides in my view. While o...

Some https://rpkgs.com news: - new website with a dynamic arch/os selector - https://cran.rpkgs.com got hardened as a dynamic/agnostic repository URL that works for all supported OS+Version combinations rpkgs.com supports - Submitted an r-core patch that modernizes the default HTTP User Agent of the R interpreter so dynamic lookups of repositories can be applied natively without a custom UA patch #rstats

Welcome ForgeGo! A mobile client for #Forgejo, for #iOS and #Android. Most of our work lives on Forgejo, across several servers and accounts. So we (devXY) built an app (Flutter-based) that handles several servers and accounts at once. More on the motivation behind it and how it works: https://devxy.io/blog/forgego-release/ #codefloe #forgejo #ios #android #flutter #codeberg

It might be time for a distinctive branded #forgejo fork that is open to #ai contributions and focuses on tech rather than political or philosophical views/campaigns. Federation should (finally) see substantial progress. No, #gitea isn't the solution in my eyes for reasons that would exceed the length of this post. Last, I am tired of (personal) insults by Forgejo (core) members which can't seem to differentiate the different use cases of how #ai can be used in software dev...

This whole debate around #codeberg banning crypto and AI projects clearly shows how unopen it's (core) members are towards a free and "open" community eventually. "If you don't agree, just leave" - is what GH told people that don't wanna use #ai - Codeberg now does the same to the other half of the spectrum. Guess it always depends what "open" means then and which bubble you're in. The literal wording has l...

After having made a stand against the concept of pure LLM evilness and providing parts of #codeberg users with an alternative, the anger/hate/sarcasm of the idealist LLM-hater community is coming at me. Most profiles who contact me prefer to stay anonymous, are linked to socialism, anarchism, cats and other "alternative" society models, bringing up all sorts of not-so-nice definitions of mine. I guess it's easier to target a single person than a random platform like...

RE: https://social.tchncs.de/@codefloe/116993046835204014 Helpful feature for websites and/or blogs! All data is rendered and stored on CodeFloe CI servers (served via a local Caddy instance), so your repo source is never sent to any remote server/service outside the CF ecosystem. Alternatively, you can also self-host this in your own FJ instance: https://codefloe.com/pat-s/roost

Kicked off the https://rpkgs.com R package binary builds for RHEL 10 eventually. Took a bit due to the new cpu restriction rhel 10 comes with and the deprecation of the x11 libs, which are important for building many packages requiring graphical support during the build. #rstats

#codeberg limits my mobile access. First time I use it today from mobile. Seems like a false-positive. Brave browser on iOS.

@dgkf@fosstodon.org Codeberg isn't "rolling out" actions. Actions is a piece of the #forgejo universe and because Codeberg runs Forgejo, it can make use of it and provide runners. And their runners exists since quite some time already. Maybe you meant that, but the wording is at least a bit confusing 🙂 (Just saying this as I think the confusion between Codeberg and Forgejo is on a similar level as R vs RStudio.) Actions is compatible with #github actions so porting over to it fr...
