  wanna hear a fun fact about tamagotchi as a hobby? for many collectors & collectibles, buying "new in box" is ideal. the item's condition, and thus its value, is highest in that state. however!! for tama collecting, that's not always the case. why? 2 words: old batteries. 😰🪫💥 that's why, in tama hobby-land, ones that have been opened & tested can pull in *higher prices* than new-in-box ones (which are often sold as-is). so there, now you know! fun fun 😄
