  Oracle's revenue from its core business has been stagnant for years. They've only kept things rolling by using their cash to acquire other, better performing companies. They've tried to do the same by jumping in on the AI bandwagon. They're going into billions of debt to build capacity for _a single customer_.   Either Cloudflare has gone crazy, or bots are smashing every single site on earth. The volume of captchas I get every day is out of control. Multiple times on a single site. To the point where I just give up browsing some sites.

  Had a nice time working on a Typescript project today. Not impressed with the whole JavaScript/Typescript ecosystem — so much convoluted bullshit — but it’s satisfying to think, then execute well. As in, it ended up being simpler than I expected.
