  ion fury is so weird because it's like they took all the lessons from common complaints about build engine games, right or wrong. 1. "hitscanners are annoying" so every enemy shoots well-telegraphed projectiles 2. "there isnt enough enemy variety" so they made a big enemy roster but half of them are frustrating ankle biters with boring designs 3. "build engine lighting is often mediocre" so the game has colored lighting but it recolors sprites and makes enemies...
