    @kathhayhoe@fediscience.org It&#39;s a lie that China&#39;s emissions have peaked. Their annual emissions are a vertical line. How are people suppose to take this argument seriously? Their coal production has outpaced even that of the US. It&#39;s pure wishcasting by people who want there to be a &quot;good guy&quot; who will save us. https://ourworldindata.org/co2-emissions

    @nixCraft@mastodon.social It&#39;s wild having grown up in a time when massive amounts of effort was put into encouraging young people to become software engineers and get into computer science, and that cohort finally reaches an age where they&#39;re entering the job market or are well into a career and suddenly it&#39;s &quot;Ehh, never mind.     @ErikJonker@mastodon.social Let&#39;s be real, when Europe has been partners in atrocities like we see in Gaza there is no dignity or self-respect to salvage. It&#39;s about money and economics, which is fine (US is a sinking ship), but the indignation can be dispensed with I think. EU leaders just need to be honest; they were happy to participate in the neoliberal farce when it benefitted them. Now the Chinese imperial farce benefits them more as the US implodes, so they&#39;re going to hel...

    @nihilistnomya Killing him was the right decision, but rarely works out well for the colonized, be it Hawaii, Gaza, Haiti, Tibet, Australia etc. Humans just think they have a right to take and then create rationalizations for it later. Dogwater species imo.
