  One thing 90s Star Trek failed to anticipate was security cameras. So many plots would have been easily solved by a few cameras on the promenade or in the hallways pointing at turbo lift doors.

  There's a line from the original radio version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that lives rent free in my head.   I'm terrified of the API implications, but the iPhone Duo *does* look pretty neat. Also I want to point out that I came up with the idea of putting controls down the side of the screen instead of across the bottom for Tapestry and now Apple stole it.

  Xcode gets very upset about running out of disk space - which is somewhat ironic since the reason I'm out of disk space is Xcode.

  Since getting our new water heater in June the hot water has smelled like rotten eggs. Apparently there are bacteria in some water that eats the anode rods and excretes a harmless but nasty smelling gas. This never happened before so I’m guessing the new water heater used a different anode material. Apparently that’s a thing. So my weekend project was to install an electric anode rod which is supposed to solve this. We shall see.

  Apple keeps releasing new and more expensive hardware that folks want us to support but we can't even afford to buy the new stuff ourselves to test it on. I mean.. my iPad is an M1. My iPhone is still a 14. And my Mac is an M1 Max. So... I'm a few years behind over here across the board. Now there's talk of a foldable iPhone?
