  Now the oligarchy is talking about universal basic income. When we were downloading songs off of Napster, the oligarchy freaked out, ruined a bunch of peoples lives and called us all criminals. But then when they wanted to steal everyone shit for their AI models, then it's all fair use if it's online. We've been talking about UBI for decades and laughed at. Now when it serves their PR needs, they start talking about UBI ... knowing damn well though that it isn't going to happe...

  Maybe it's happening and I'm just out of the loop, but wouldn't the OBVIOUS play by democrats this election cycle to be, "ELECT US AND WE WILL IMPEACH TRUMP!"   All the serious people are certain the GOP is imploding and Dems will win big in November. I remember everyone laughing about Clinton losing in 2016. The problem is that the very smart people don't understand that it's not a binary choice: vote R or vote D. But Dems always act like they're owed votes for some reason. If they really wanted my vote, they wouldn't support killing Palestinians and the apartheid disaster Palestinians are forced to live.

  People don't know what to do. We can't ignore this fact. People in the US have not been taught to resist. They have been taught to be individuals. Any sort of collective action is suspicious, probably a communist plot. USians have been trained to not resist.

  I really thought we all agreed that rapists are bad. I really believed that we all hated fascists. I was in my 20s when I realized that people in the US thought colonization of North America was a good thing.   I just saw a report from Gaza of an entire family, including children, wiped out from an Israeli attack. Anyone who doesn't actively reject this is a garbage person. I don't care what else they do with their lives, if they are not opposed to this, they are a garbage person. This is why I will not vote for any politician who doesn't actively reject the genocide in Gaza. Killing babies is a red line for me and I think it's completely reasonable.
