Maybe it's happening and I'm just out of the loop, but wouldn't the OBVIOUS play by democrats this election cycle to be, "ELECT US AND WE WILL IMPEACH TRUMP!"
I haven't heard anyone say that, despite the fact that Trump commits new felonies multiple times every day.
They aren't planning to do shit.

@arrrg@kolektiva.social There aren’t enough Senate seats in play to reach 60 votes needed to convict (PA’s Fetterman will be among the nay votes). And after wasting all that time, even if he was convicted, you’d be putting Vance in his place, firing up a MAGA base for revenge in 2028. It’s self defeating pointless, and bad politics. Impeaching his minions, on the other hand, is going to make a difference and should cause some of these high ranking cabinet officers to realize that they have a duty to the constitution and not the man and if and when they remove him under the 25th amendment, the rancor will split the Republicans and improve Dem’s position in 2028
