@deshipu yeah that's a valid point but looking at history I strongly believe it will eventually get better (look at how Apple has recently been forced to allow other stores for example and allow apps to advertise subscriptions outside of App Store from inside their apps). Personally, I already buy pretty much all of my media digitally anyway and statistics seem to show that most people do anyway

Most social media platforms seem to be set on making your experience as a user without an account or an app as miserable as possible. I've yet to find one (other than Mastodon) where I can click the link of a **public** post and read its contents and following replies without said platform attempting to coerce me into creating an account and/or downloading an app. Why do people keep putting up with this shit?

I recently rented a Volkswagen Touran which, like most cars these days, has a bunch of buttons on the steering wheel. One of these buttons is the "speak" button (I believe it is to activate voice commands like Gemini or something, not 100% certain). As I was learning the various buttons I pressed that one to try it out. To my surprise I get a message in the dashboard saying that this button is not activated and to do so I can buy it off of the shop. What?

It always annoys me that I am not able to gift a game to a friend on the Nintendo or PS store. Also, having to pay a monthly fee in order to play online with friends, even when those friends are on different platforms (i.e...

I just spent a few hours trying to figure out how to handle taxes from payments off of buymeacoffee.com. How can you design such a shitty platform? No proper APIs, no information on payment history from members. Avoid it if you can.

Hey Screenrant. I often throw links to your article at AI and every single time it gives me information that should essentially have been the title of the article or at least in the first sentence.

@jnkrtech unfortunately that's not how reality works though. Ultimately, in competitive markets, underperformers will be at a risk of losing their jobs. And while there are many who perform just fine without these kinds of tools, it is looking like LLMs are raising the performance bar across the board meaning those using them will just have an advantage over many others who choose not to.
