Fallen (1998) Crime-Horror is an interesting backwater hybrid genre. This film stars Denzel Washington as a police detective tracking a killer that turns out to be a demon that can hop to nearby bodies. This is how the film opens, so it's not a spoiler. Fallen got lukewarm reviews upon release but has since developed a cult following, which came as good news to me because this is my favorite Denzel film.

dive for dreams or a slogan may topple you (trees are their roots and wind is wind) trust your heart if the seas catch fire (and live by love though the stars walk backward) honour the past but welcome the future (and dance your death away at this wedding) never mind a world with its villains or heroes (for god likes girls and tomorrow and the earth) —ee cummings #Poetry
