  I feel like whoever wired my house must have involved a troop of drunken circus monkeys somehow. Trying to map out the breaker box because I wanted to change out some light fixtures.   Was coming home from dance class tonight, and when I got to where I usually turn, counted 8 police cars zooming through the intersection with lights and sirens. Decided not to risk ending up in the middle of whatever they were headed for, so went another 3/4 mile to an alternate route, and counted 4 more apparently converging on the same point from the opposite direction. Couldn't find anything on the local scanner feed or the news yet, but anything involving that many cops is surely a bad...

  Has anyone here successfully litter-trained a dog? Any advice or recommended how-tos? I know it's usually only done for toy breeds, but Seba's anxiety is so bad that even medicated, every thunderstorm or other disruption puts us right back to square one on housetraining and this is not a good way to live. #Dogs #DogTraining #DogsOfMastodon #AskFedi

  https://www.sltrib.com/news/2026/09/20/sugar-house-park-trump-great-salt/ While this would be sad in a way, that pond was built when we had both a different ecosystem and much less knowledge of how things worked environmentally and it sounds like it's actually harming the birds it was meant to help us enjoy, so I hope they do find a way to move forward on this, though they don't sound very optimistic.

  Ugh, stuck at work as the nausea phase of getting stung by a nest of wasps I accidentally stirred up doing yardwork is hitting. ( I looked it up and this is apparently a common thing that doesn't necessarily mean a severe reaction but definitely sucks).

  So, apparently some fucker committed an anti-Islamic hate crime at the mall I work at (thankfully while I was not there, but *yikes*!😬). I heard the victim is in the hospital in critical condition. 😞 On the plus side, apparently a whole bunch of bystanders jumped the asshole and kicked him in the head, so he's hospitalized, too, which makes me feel a teeny bit proud of my neighbors.

  Apparently my brain recognizes movement style faster than other visual cues. Don't know if that's usual or not, but I work in a place that basically rents mobility scooters in fursuits as an amusement ride. Sitting here overheated and not feeling my best at work, and a guy passed by with a regular mobility scooter.   Am I the only person who can't bring myself to use a neti pot? Both the urgent care and telehealth docs advised me to use one as if it was no big deal, but the idea of pouring water into a breathing passage ( which is already in burning pain) just hits with the same kind of visceral fear as trying to put my hand in a fire---I can't believe it wouldn't cause terrible pain and gagging and I don't know how to force myself to do it. #sinusitis #homeremedies #help
