    @zeenix@toot.cat i know. but it’s the foundation’s responsibility to guide the community and to expel members who cause active harm to the project. it doesn’t do that precisely because the small portion of the foundation responsible for that work is corrupt in a very similar way to the small portion of the community which is permitted to engage in repeated unhealthy, antisocial behaviour. it is the same corruption, ultimately, and one feeds the other. there were other forms of corruption in the past, which the foundation has taken steps to resolve. but social corruption is more difficult to root out than financial corruption and if the systems and structures in place actively support social corruption, then there is no leverage to solve that. my remaining optimism is based on the fact that there are people involved who not only *want* to solve these problems … they’re sticking to it. that’s a long road, though, and i don’t blame you at all for losing patience.
