@celesteh A gun can be used without firing it. The Hmong homeowner who refused to admit ICE and deterred them simply by reminding them he had a gun is a good example. They had ignored his threat to call the cops on them for trespassing, but being bullies and cowards they were not going to argue with a gun. Note that had this gone to live fire, the defenders would have been firing from concealment and possibly cover, with ICE pinned down in the open. A bad day for ICE that would be and they knew it and bailed. Most cases of successful self-defense by firearm do not in fact involve firing the gun, thus they go unreported. My guess is anytime ICE expects to face return fire they avoid the situation. They are cosplaying bullies not real soldiers. When CBP murdered Alex Pretti, they went for his gun first. Lots of people are trained to draw immediately when faced with a disarming attack. CBP got lucky, nobody gets lucky every time. Not long after the hornet's nest this stirred up, CBP and Bovino were supposedly removed from the attack on Minneapolis. They'd still be there and openly so if not for the popular explosion set off by the second Federal murder in so short a time. ICE of course is still there and fighting is ongoing though ICE is losing.

@LukefromDC 1. The number of people saved from ICE would need to be greater than the number of domestic violence gun homicides or injuries to balance out. I have not looked for data because I can't compare with data that doesn't exist but we imagine might be high numbers or not. Theres literally no way of knowing. So its a cheering fantasy or an underreported truth with literally no way to determine which it might. The actual deaths probably are counted. 2. You seem to be implying that one of the (very many) ICE murders has a silver lining due to the presence of extra handguns, which rather overshadows point 1 in terms of how objectionable it is.
