How do I license a game that I want to be copyleft and open source for individual people to play, but can't be used in any commercial capacity without an explicit license - I want people to be able to own and hack it, but if anyone makes money off it I want a cut. Are there good copyleft noncommercial licenses? Feels a little different than normal software licensing, like I almost want CC-BY-SA-NC.

@jonny@neuromatch.social this is a very real and nasty problem. It's the same reason I prefer GPL-style licenses over "freer" Apache-style licenses: people are selfish and don't give back. Corporations are greedy and take. Bruce Perens is working on this at https://postopen.org, but it's not even close to ready yet. I suggest a modified AGPLv3 that prohibits commercial use, noting that this means it'll never be compatible with GPL/AGPL content.
