  I feel like this entire discussion - from the initial post all through the comments - is just strawmanning. I never said I want to live in a kill-or-be-killed world. I said that if someone shows up at your home to kill you and take your shit, you can either: defend yourself, call the cops, and/or cower in fear until they kill you. I’m of the belief that even if you believe the cops will save you, your odds are slim they reach you in time. So the idea of police being a ‘checkmate’ argument is foolish to me. You’re either prepared to put up a resistance or you’re prepared to die. But obviously I’d prefer a scenario where nobody shows up to kill anyone. I’m responding to the insane exaggeration of the stupid meme. That’s been my point this entire time. It reads to me like someone is arguing against a point that nobody is making in an attempt to dunk on people who don’t exist, seemingly because they don’t understand their opposition and can’t be bothered to try.
