like. i didn't like C when i started to use it. but i warmed up to it and can see virtue in its simplicity. i can see why sometimes C is good, actually
i do not expect this will happen for x86 assembly

@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place C and C++ *CAN BE* WONDERFUL languages if used "in simple ways" which THEY CAN. They become 'a mess' when 'badly used' or 'attempting to be too clever with them'. They can be a bit like "nuclear energy" can be used for good with proper setting/limits can become ultra destructive in the wrong hands. C is "a bit immune" to that but C++ on the contrary gives you "infinite rope to hang yourself with" 😐 Still it CAN be VERY useful when used correctly.
