@sinbad@mastodon.gamedev.place @psychicparrot42@mastodon.gamedev.place @ric@mastodon.qweb.co.uk @llamasoft_ox@toot.wales Is it frikin possible I had to look up 'the internet' for a specific model number and even there found 'inexact instructions' about HOW TO POWER DOWN an (APC) UPS that "doesn't want to power down" ? The MANUAL, says NOTHING about 'how to power it down' 😱 The internet says "hold down the power button >2 seconds until you hear it pow...

@sinbad@mastodon.gamedev.place @psychicparrot42@mastodon.gamedev.place @ric@mastodon.qweb.co.uk Ok.. "I am in the semi shit now" .. my Win11 PC since a while ( approx since 4 days ago ) suddenly decides to power itself off 'at random moments' .. we did have a couple of power cuts but 'nothing extreme'. BUT here comes the weirdest part .. despite the BIOS is set to 'remain off after loss of AC power' .. this PC now 'suddenly' decides to turn itself ON and...

@fuwafuwa@toot.wales @Mafalda@toot.wales So an update about Skippy's situation. He's doing very well .. BUT .. we think there's still a bit of the infection going 😢 Very little but is still a bit there. So tomorrow around 1.30PM we'll have the vet come to check again, if there's still something they'll take a swab to analyse it and find PRECISELY what kind of more targeted antibiotic he may need. We are worried about his psychological welfare .. he's been in a stable...

@psychicparrot42 @sinbad " .. and a user thinks you just pick up a gamepad, press a button and you play .. " .. I got 'something' for PC, 'something' for PS5, 'something' for Switch .. now it's the Xbox turn .. is it simpler ? NO ! FUCK NO ! Even more complex ! .. don't do multi-player games .. don't do them .. unless you have 'a super mega lib does it all for you' ready ..

I just received an email from a company offering some services "We worked for <too big companies> and " .. many Indie studios .." .. which I SUSPECT has to be read as ".. many indie studios that have FUCKLOAD more money than what we do ". Still I guess someone thinks we are much bigger than what we actually are ? 🤔

I just spent 20 ? mins or so talking to Victoria, brushing Victoria, re-cleaning the stable, giving her fresh water, trying to tell her "she has 2 more weeks only now". I am sure the whole process is doing "something" she now been almost 3 weeks on strict monitored diet of washed ( for 12 hours ) hay + balancer + medication. I THINK she lost a bit of weight, which is GOOD she was "a bit too plump pony", she definitely looks even more gorgeous...

#appeal to #welsh #farmers I am trying to get it touch with a certain C L Dugdale of ( I suppose ) Bryngwynnau .. someone sent us a parcel to "Llamasoft LTD" with our correct address but that name and the delivery guy insisted "they may have written the sender's name instead" so he left it to us. We opened it, it's stuff for lambs. The post office doesn't want it back "because is FedEX", I'll try tomorrow to se...

RAGAZZI CHE CAZZI ! 😡 In 2026 an ordeal so far to get some medicine for a poor sick horse ! So there were 2 options "have them from the vet itself" ( that turns out at a "really big" cost ) OR, given that is a human medicine too, have the vet write a prescription for us and get them in a pharmacy. So turns out the pharmacy is much cheaper "we send you the prescription via email", which is a signed PDF doc. I print it, we go the the pharmacy,...

@psychicparrot42 This is a story I heard MANY years ago, it may be false or no longer valid ( but I think they still have them there ) "In Italian police/carabinieri stations they still use mechanical typewriters for certain docs". They claim is "for can't remember what reason" but THE RUMOUR was that "it's because they had huge contracts with Olivetti they wanted to keep going so they had to pay for typewriters maintenance" o...

Every 2 hours or so I go to the stable to spend 10 mins with Victoria and check on her. I brush her a bit, talk her a bit, I plan this week end to buy somewhere a small radio so she can listen to some music while there.
