If a cis woman goes out in a t-shirt and shorts and no makeup, she gets called "miss" and "ma'am" and "she" and "her," even when she's somewhat androgynous or masculine looking.
For that matter, nobody has a problem with a butch woman's pronouns 99% of the time and that 1% used to get laughed off before people started "guarding" toilets.
Trans women are owed at least as much courtesy and/or apathy.
It's not hard. Oftentimes, people have to intentionally go out of their way to misgender us.

Like, yeah, mistakes happen but those are easily blown off. It's the people going around with a "transvestigation" attitude that are the problem. Like, that's not normal. 10 years ago, if they saw a tall, slightly haggard middle-aged woman wearing a t-shirt and jeans, they wouldn't think anything of it. 99.9% of the time, it's going to be a cis woman anyway. But now they jump to conclusions and try to be cruel about it.
