I mean, if Carney gets to complete his goal of undoing the damage Mulroney, Harper and to a lesser degree Trudeau did to Canada by coupling it so much to the US, and if Trump continues running the US into the ground that will happen organically.

Of course the bigger economy in the world and the nation that control the most important reserve currency can engage in currency manipulation. To suggest otherwise would be unserious. You can argue he has been setting the stage for this since he started messing with the Fed board of governors.
